Q: What is the minimum amount to invest?

You can get started with just $1.

Q: Can I transfer an account to SoFi Invest? How?

Yes, you can! The easiest way to do it is from your account dashboard within the SoFi App:
• Find and click the big blue button to “Add money”
• Click the name of your account under the “source” row (it might say “add account” if you don’t have an account preselected)
• Click the link at the bottom that says “Transfer via ACAT, wire, or send a check” (pro tip: ACAT is just the industry term for an account transfer)
• Follow the flow and feel free to email investsupport@sofi.org if you run into any issues and one of our advisors will help you out

Q: What is rebalancing? How often will my portfolio be rebalanced?

Rebalancing is when we sell some of the ETFs that have gone up in value and buy more of the ones that went down, in order to keep your portfolio close to its original mix of investments. It’s important to do this periodically. We will look at portfolios at least quarterly to see if any one asset is more than 5 percentage points off its original allocation. If so, we’ll rebalance the account. We might do it more often if, for example, there is a big move in one asset class, or if we decide to change the mix of the funds in the portfolio. The end goal is to automatically keep your portfolio on track for your stated goals.
